Dubbed “The Best in the West – The Afro Classico Contest,” the highly anticipated tournament will feature two thrilling semi-final clashes between regional rivals, culminating in an intense battle for supremacy.
Semi-Final Showdowns
The competition kicks off on Tuesday, May 27, with the first-ever TriniJam encounter on UK soil as the Soca Warriors of Trinidad & Tobago face off against the Reggae Boyz of Jamaica. This West Indies derby promises fireworks as both teams vie for Caribbean bragging rights.
The following day, Wednesday, May 28, will see the Super Eagles of Nigeria take on the Black Stars of Ghana in a high-stakes West African derby. With a history of fierce encounters between the two football powerhouses, fans can expect another chapter of this historic rivalry.
Final and Third-Place Playoff
The tournament will conclude on Saturday, May 31, with a double-header. The first match will determine the third-place winne, followed by the grand Unity Cup 2025 Final, where the ultimate champion will be crowned.
As two-time Unity Cup champions, Nigeria enters the competition as early favorites, backed by a strong FIFA ranking and recent performances. However, Ghana will take confidence from their last London encounter, where they secured a dominant 4-1 victory over the Super Eagles.
Jamaica, too, will be eager to settle old scores, having previously lost by a narrow margin in their last tournament appearance. Meanwhile, Trinidad & Tobago will be determined to make history by securing their first Unity Cup title.
