The Ghana Rugby 7s team have departed to Uganda for the upcoming Sevens African Cup of Nations.
Ghana is among thirteen countries to participate in the Championship slated for April 23-24, 2022 in Kampala.
Ghana have departed to Uganda to intensify preparations for the championship with countries like Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Namibia, Senegal, Tunisia, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Kenya qualifying for the tournament.
This year’s event will double not only as a qualifier to the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 in Cape Town, South Africa but also the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.
All three medallists will qualify for a ticket to Cape Town for the World Cup on September 9-11 at the Cape Town Stadium while only the finalists will have booked their flight to Birmingham for the Commonwealth Games on July 29-31 at the Coventry Stadium.
