In today’s world, where environmental concerns and experiential learning are increasingly emphasized, tourism agencies and companies play a pivotal role in shaping responsible travel. They create unforgettable experiences that blend adventure with sustainability.
In an exciting initiative aimed at boosting domestic tourism, students from the Institute of Journalism Campus at the University of Media, Arts and Communications (UniMAC) are set to embark on an excursion to the picturesque Volta Region on Saturday, August 10, 2024. This endeavor which is part of a term project for level 300 students studying Public Relations with Marketing, by name RoamRovers, represented by the company name Nevanae Adventures has not only caught great attention but also gained the endorsement of the Ghana Tourism Authority.
Nevanae Adventures acts as a bridge between travelers and tour operators, curating experiences that resonate with a modern audience. By endorsing the tour that champions sustainability, the Ghana Tourism Authority will help ensure that awareness of climate change and ecological impact grows, travelers, especially students, are offered experiences that align with their values.
As UniMaAC is keen on providing students with opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, offering practical applications of what they learn. A well-structured tour that emphasizes adventure, cultural immersion, and sustainability can fulfill these demands while fostering a deeper understanding of the environment and communities being visited.
The RoamRovers will visit Mount Afadja, the Wli Waterfalls and Nuku Arts a hub of environmental sustainability where plastic wastes are transformed into artifacts to protect the environment.
By endorsing Nevanae Adventures and consequently the tour focused on adventure and sustainability, the journey provides the perfect blend of excitement and education, which will result in the creation of memories that last a lifetime.
