2024 independent presidential candidate, Alan Kyeremanten, has urged Ghanaian football supporters to have patience and keep faith in the Black Stars in the wake of their upset victory in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Movement for Change’s founder, Kyeremanten, expressed hope that the Black Stars would recover in their next games despite the setback.
Invoking a spirit of optimism and expectation, he emphasized their historically positive relationship with Egypt, their upcoming opponent. Mr. Kyeremanten said,
“I want us to have a sense of great expectation and hope that whatever has occurred [against Cape Verde] will be reversed in our match with Egypt with an emphatic victory.”
At the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan on Sunday night, Ghana lost their Group B match 2-1 to Cape Verde.
Ghana, which is currently bottom of their group, will play Egypt on January 18 in an attempt to bounce back from the first defeat.
