Ghanaian midfield maestros Mohammed Kudus and Thomas Partey have won well-deserved recognition by earning prized berths in the CAF Team of the Year 2023 at the 2023 CAF Awards held in Morocco.
Mohammed Kudus, who started his professional career in Denmark with Nordsjaelland as an exceptional talent gained attention very early and he was transferred to the elite Ajax in the Eredivisie before making the big-time move to West Ham United last summer.
His selection to the CAF Team of the Year highlights his achievements on the continent, particularly at the World Cup in Qatar the previous year, where he finished with two goals and one assist in three games.
Conversely, Partey has made a name for himself as a midfield force, fusing a strong passing range with a strong defensive game.
Partey has demonstrated constant excellence and a dominant presence in the middle of the park throughout his journey from Atletico Madrid to Arsenal in the English Premier League.
In addition to honoring Partey’s individual accomplishments, the CAF Team of the Year represents Ghanaian talent’s acknowledgement on the world football scene.
