The national boxing teams of Ghana for men and women have made it safely to Dakar, Senegal after transiting through Lome, Togo.
The PRO of the Ghana Boxing Federation along with seasoned trainers Dr. Asare and Rashid Williams also travelled with the team.
The hosting and feeding of the competing nations will be handled by the tournament’s LOC.
The Ghana Boxing Federation received $10,000 from the Ghana Olympic Committee before the competition to help them qualify for Paris 2024.
At the African Qualifier, only the winners and gold medalists will be eligible to compete in Paris 2024.
Mustapha Yusif, the minister of youth and sports, recently met with Freezy Macbones, a boxer from Ghana who now calls the United Kingdom home, as well as the national boxing squad, the Black Bombers, as they get ready to try to qualify for the Paris Olympics in 2024.
