The Chief Executive Officer for Ghana Women’s Premier League side Berry Ladies FC, Mrs. Gifty Oware-Mensah has finally picked her form to contest for the Ghana Football Association Executive Council slot in the upcoming GFA Elections under the Ticket of Women’s Football Representative on the Board.
The astute football Administrator and Politician filled her nomination at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat before going on to launch her campaign at the La Palm Beach Hotel.
Mrs. Oware-Mensah who is the Deputy Executive Director for the National Service Secretariat(NSS) believes that even though the GFA already has some outstanding Women’s Football Strategy, her vision to contest for the GFA ExCo seat is to complement and enhance it’s effectiveness.
” She firmly believe that there are additional vital aspects that can be brought to the table,
According to her, if she is elected to the ExCo she will work with the GFA to seek more avenues for funding to increased support and resources for women’s leagues, Clubs and development programs.
” I will advocate for creation of more football academies and grassroots competitions across Ghana to develop and show case female talent from a young age.
” As a woman on the GFA Executive Council, I will champion female leadership within football and inspire more women to get involved at all levels , from playing to coaching to administration.

The Ghana Football Association have set September 27 ,2023 for the Election of GFA President and ExCo Members.
