Mrs. Gifty Oware-Mensah has confirmed her unopposed status following no other competition in the race for the sole slot available to the Women’s Premier League clubs on the Ghana Football Association Executive Council seat.
The Ghana Football Association’s deadline day for filing of nomination for the various positions elapsed at 5:00pm on Friday, August 11, 2023 with no other candidate picking up a form for the women’s premier league seat aside, the owner of the Berry Ladies Football Club.
Gifty Oware Mensah will now await the vetting process and the statutory declaration to assume her role as a member of the Executive Council.

In her latest tweet after the date and time for filing elapsed, she expressed her gratitude and agreed that patience is key now as she await the vetting process.
“We came, we worked, we saw and we conquered. Thank you all for your support and love as we await vetting. For us with women’s sports, we know how we do it. Congratulations to us all. It’s about us taking our space and making the world hear from us. I am proud to be under your tutelage all my mentors . On on we go”.
Gifty Oware-Mensah who’s also a politician, a graduate of Ghana Senior High School and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology will be looking forward to her new leadership role in football at age 37.
