The founder and leader of Heaven’s Gate Ministry, Prophet Kumchacha has described the construction of a national cathedral by the Akufo-Addo led government as a very bad move.
According to the controversial preacher, the national cathedral is a misplaced priority and will be of no importance to Ghanaians especially at this time that the hardship in the country is unbearable.
“There’s no need [construction of national cathedral], we don’t need a cathedral at this time that food is expensive, bad roads killing us, electricity tariff and fuel prices on the high”, Kumchacha said on Onua TV.
Kumchacha vowed that he will never contribute to the construction of the cathedral since he sees it as a bad move from the government.
“Ghanaians are against the national cathedral but I don’t understand why government is bent on constructing that. I will never contribute a dime into the construction because I don’t support it Give us good roads, stable electricity and not a cathedral. Most churches have their worship centers, so why a cathedral at this time that living condition in Ghana is very expensive.”
He added that, “I will never step foot in that cathedral when completed.. I will rather buy foodstuffs and donate it to the poor than to contribute to the national cathedral which is a misplaced priority.”
