The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation, has for the past five years constructed 702 boreholes, 141 classroom blocks and 86 sanitary facilities for Ghanaians according to the Executive-Director of the foundation, Dr Dominic Eduah.
Addressing pressmen at the Foundation’s end of year media soiree in Takoradi on Thursday, December 22, Dr Eduah stated that this forms part of the Foundation’s token in complementing the government’s effort in the provision of infrastructure to Ghanaians.

He indicated that a considerable number of the boreholes constructed by the Foundation through its Environmental and Social Amenities Unit are in the Northern region.
Dr Eduah added; “the GNPC Foundation has funded the construction of educational facilities such as 141 classroom blocks for use in basic and senior high schools, 11 dormitory blocks , 8 science laboratories for senior high schools.”

“In addition, the foundation has funded the construction of 86 sanitary facilities in communities, schools and markets across the country and 32 community pitches have been developed into standard astro turf facilities across Ghana for the youth.”[ads2]
He ended by noting that most of these projects have been completed and handed over to the beneficiaries while the remaining projects are at advanced levels of completion.
