The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Foundation has donated nineteen fire extinguishers to the Takoradi Market Circle.
The donation which came off on Friday, June 7, 2019 at the Takoradi Market Circle was aimed at empowering the traders and the market’s security officials to provide a first aid response whenever there is a fire outbreaks at the market.
While donating the brand new fire extinguishers to the market leaders, the Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah emphasized the need for the market women to be aware of the safety and preventive measures in order to make fire outbreaks in the various market, a thing of the past.
The Foundation also refilled eleven old fire extinguishers to ease the fight against fire outbreaks at the Takoradi Market Circle.
The workshop was held by the GNPC Foundation in conjunction with the Ghana Fire Service, the Power Distribution Supply, the Energy Commission and the National Disaster Management Organization.
