Chairman of Board of Trustees for GNPC Foundation Nana Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II has assured the inhabitants of the Western Region that the aforesaid foundation will develop the region massively.
According to Nana Yaw Gyebi, the Parliament of Ghana have approved $10m to commence some developmental projects in the region with the Foundation already undertaking some projects in the Western region.
Speaking at the GNPC Foundation sod-cutting exercise for the construction of a new ultramodern artificial pitch at Effiekuma Police Park in the Western region, Ogyeahoho revealed that the Foundation gave out 890 scholarship to students in both public and private tertiary institutions in the country and the Western Region had 300 out of the total.
”The Parliament have approved a sum of $10m to start operation and we are currently undertaking numerous of projects in the Western region.
“GNPC Foundation has been able to give out 890 scholarship to both private and public tertiary students in the country and Western region had 300 out of the total.
“We have planned to build over 46 units classrooms across the length and breath of the country and the Western region will have the highest”
In conclusion the Chairman of Board of Trustees for GNPC Foundation Nana Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II who is also the President for the Western Regional House of Chiefs lamented that the inhabitants in Effiekuma and the region at large should help in protecting and maintaining the artificial pitch when completed.
