In recognition of its outstanding contribution to the Economic Development of the Western Region, a special Platinum Award was, last night, conferred on the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) at the 2022 Western Regional Oil & Gas Awards held in Takoradi in the category of the Overall Petroleum Upstream and Production Oversight.[ads2]
The ceremony, themed “Ghana: Towards Oil Led Economic Development” and organized under the auspice of the Western Regional Coordinating Council, also named the GNPC Foundation as Gold Award winner in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) category for its social investment projects in the region.
Receiving the honours, the Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah, thanked the Awarding Committee and noted that the recognition, like all others, accentuated the impact of GNPC’s work across various sectors of the economy at both the national and local levels.
He dedicated the Awards to the Boards and staff of GNPC as well the various partners helping to positively affect the lives of people and communities across the country. He assured of the Corporation’s intent to work towards sustaining its activities across the country.
