The Executive Director of the GNPC Foundation, the social investment arm of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation [GNPC] Dr. Kwame Baah-Nuakoh has assured Ghanaians that the foundation will keep on investing in the Sporting infrastructure in the country.
According to the Executive Director, GNPC has redefined its focus on sports by constructing Six artificial pitches across the length and breadth of the country and will continue the project next year for more Ghanaian communities to benefit.
” GNPC has redefined its focus on Sports. We want to be investing in infrastructure. We’re putting up 6 artificial pitches across the country by the end of 2018 and we ‘ll continue the pitch project next year for more communities to benefit”.
Meanwhile, GNPC have started sod-cutting exercises to pave way for the construction of the artificial pitches in the country, people of Bekwai had the first share of the cake with Western Region’s Effia-Kuma the next in the pipeline.
However, Dr. Kwame Baah Nuakoh believes putting up these infrastructures will help the growth of sports in the country.
