Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Hearts of oak forward, Edward Affum has cried on the Ghanaian media for the total neglect of local based footballers
According to the experienced goal poacher, local football is declining day by day with footballers suffering due to the total neglect by the Ghanaian media who spent most hours debating and discussing foreign sports without having much time for the local one.
” The media don’t think about local footballers because they only talk about the foreign sports. What pains me the most is they don’t think about local players. God will ask all the media men who don’t think about us. Why…???? Are we not human beings. We do this job to cater for our families, Okay!! Am really disappointed about the media, he posted this on his official Facebook timeline.
Affum, is however of the believe that with support and attention from the Ghanaian media, football in the country will rise up again.
The 29- year old had stints with both Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko as well as Tema Youth and he is reported to have currently joined Great Olympics on a two-year deal.
