In bid to contribute to bridging the gap in Ghana’s Doctor – patient ratio, the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation and the Ministry of Health have signed a memorandum of understanding with the Cuban government to train more health specialists.
Over 170 Ghanaian medical students as well as 30 health specialists will be jetted off to Cuba to begin the intensive training.
The agreement was signed between the Cuba Health Ministry and the Ghana Health Ministry during President Akufo-Addo’s visit to Cuba last week.
The meeting also had in attendance a technical negotiations team from the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
