[ads1]The Executive Vice President of Goldfields Ghana situated at Tarkwa-Damang in the Western Region, Mr. Alfred Baku has been named the best Chief Executive Officer of the year.
The industrious Baku was bestowed the honour at the 2020 edition of the Ghana Business Awards held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra on last Friday.
He was bestowed the honour for his exemplary leadership and contribution to the Ghana’s mining industry.
Goldfields Ghana was also adjudged the best mining company of the year during the awards night in the nation’s capital, Accra.[ads2]
The company was awarded for setting high standards in operational excellence, safety, business sustainability, environmental stewardship, local enterprise development as well as host community and national development.
The Ghana Business Awards is organized by Globe Productions, the 3rd in the series, in partnership with the Ministry of Business Development, Graphic Business, Nobel International Business School (NiBS), Media General and the Institute of Directors.
The awards seek to promote business excellence nationally and internationally as well as provide an unparalleled opportunity for networking among industry players and was jointly chaired by the Peace Council Chairman, Rev Prof Emmanuel Asante, and the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Nuhu Sharubutu (Dr).[ads3]
