Ghanaian private owned airline company, Goldstar Air have presented a sponsorship package to the winner of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) ‘What Do you Know’ radio contest.
The contest which marked the 80th anniversary of GBC saw Goldstar Air as one of the main sponsors.
Presenting the package to the winner of the contest was the Executive Chairman of the airline assisted by Major Albert Don Chebe (rtd), former Director General of the GBC, and Ms Anita Baidoo, Marketing Manager of the company in the United Kingdom (UK).
They pledged to support such educational activities to get more people to participate and promote the search for knowledge and education.

They said, “We remain committed to the development of Ghana in all ways. The airline is for Ghanaians so the people of this nation will benefit most and that’s just what we are showcasing now, and there are a lot more to be offer the Ghanaian communities when we start operations.
Other Corporate Responsibilities executed by Goldstar Air
Goldstar Air supported sports beat, a popular sports discussion program, hosted by a journalist of mark, George Kenneth Lartey on Ghana Television during Christmas and have also sponsored a couple of Ghana Broadcasting Corporation and other media organizations sports journalists to cover major tournaments in and outside Ghana.

The airline company was part of the sponsors for the match between the Black Stars of Ghana and Mozambique at the Accra Sports stadium on March 24, 2016.
The Ghanaian airline has donated a trophy to the Assemblies of God Church in the Greater Accra Region for its annual fun games competition and was received on behalf of the church by Mr Samuel Mankrom, the Regional Sports Organizer of the Greater Accra Youth Ministry of the church, accompanied by Mr John Tawiah and Mr Isaac Danso Otchere, both representatives of the Youth Ministry.
The company have made a presentation of boxing materials and cheque donations to the Willpower Boxing Gym, at James Town in Accra. The donations are meant to rejuvenate juvenile boxing, which has been on the quiet for some time now and teaming up with the Willpower Gym to help stem the rise of young people who may have boxing talents but rather find themselves on the streets, by taking the roaming gym nationwide.

The airline firm have also sponsored Salafest Boxing Shows at Opera Square in Accra which is organized by Pakis Promotion in collaboration with Junior Walaga Promotions and they have hailed the success of the event.
Goldstar Air has engaged in a number of activities to get the disabled people to support the Ghana Black Stars and other sporting disciplines.
The airline has also moved the roaming gym to many locations to hunt young boxers and it was a huge success and have seen some Ghanaian boxing bigwigs including Peter Zwennes, the President of Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) and his executives board as well as boxing legend, Azumah ‘Zoom Zoom’ Nelson, WBC judge/referee, Ataa Eddie Pappoe, American promoter George Johnson and Mike Neequaye were some of the dignitaries who showed up and inspire many young aspiring boxers, very talented between the ages of 12 and 16 to showcase their huge talents.
