Sporting activities are pushed further away from starting, not until July 31, 2020 according May 31, 2020 late night press briefing from the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The president revealed that the March 15 restrictions on sporting activities due to the global pandemic, Covid-19 virus will hold until further checks, not later than July 31, 2020.

According to the president individual, non–contact sports can go on, but all other contact sports are held meaning, football, basketball, netball…are still on hold.
”I have, by Executive Instrument, provided for these new directions, and extended the suspension of the remaining public gatherings, as set out in E.I. 64 of 15th March, until 31st July. In here, I refer to the suspension of sporting events, nightclubs, cinemas, drinking spots, bars, beaches, festivals, funerals, political rallies, and large religious gatherings such as crusades, pilgrimages and conventions,” Akufo-Addo said in his address to the nation.
