The Deputy Health Minister, Dr. Bernard Oko-Boye has revealed that government is taking steps to turn two hospitals in the Ashanti Region into isolation centres as Covid-19 cases keep rising in the country.
Ghana has recorded 12590 cases of the devastating disease with 4410 recoveries and 66 deaths.
The increasing number of Ghana’s Covid-19 case count has pushed the government into discussing plans to revert two hospitals in the Ashanti region into Covid-19 isolation centres with one at Bekwai.
Dr. Oko-Boye made the revelation during an interview with the media on the sidelines of donation ceremony at the Ridge Hospital in Accra on Wednesday by the Chinese Embassy and the Chinese Community in Ghana.
