Great United Footballers Association (GUFA) have donated to its member Emmanuel Ansong who is recovering from an ankle injury.
Ansong has been on the treatment bed for the past weeks over an ankle injury he susatined during Accra Hearts of Oak oldies and Asante Kotoko oldies Independence day clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Executive Members of the association donated to the former Aduana Stars defender at his house today, foodstuffs costing over GHC 1000 as well as an undisclosed amount.
Former Accra Hearts of Oak winger Joe Tagoe on behalf of the association presented the items and the undisclosed amount to the defender who is an integral member of the ” together we stand” association established last two years.
Ansong, who was overwhelmed with the association’s kind gesture, however expressed his profound gratitude and disclosed that, he is responding to treatment and would soon be fit again.
Great United Footballers Association with Francis Akwaffo as it President was established in 2017 to seek for the welfare of both active and retired Ghanaian footballers and currently has over 250 members.
