Spokesperson for Bechem United Football Club, Emmanuel Atuahene has disclosed that forward, Hafiz Wontah Konkoni was transfered to Young Africans of Tanzania for USD 100,000.00, a Ghana Cedi equivalent of GH¢1,123,237.00.
The forward was announced by Yanga on Friday evening having completed all formalities with the Hunters.
Bechem United finished third on the 2022/2023 betPawa Premier League with Konkoni being unstoppable in the process.

The Spokesperson of the Bechem-based side disclosed that Hearts of Oak and Al Hilal were in the race for the Black Stars Forward’s signature and for Hilal it was failure to reach personal terms with the player while Hearts of Oak were way below the valuation of the forward.

“Hafiz Konkoni was initially heading to Al Hilal of Sudan but due to personal terms which couldn’t go well he came back to Ghana and luckily Yanga showed up and they were willing to meet our demands.
“I can confirm that Hafiz was sold for $100,000 with 20% onwards transfer for Bechem. Hearts couldn’t have purchased Hafiz because what they (Hearts) proposed was 10% of what Yanga offered for him” – Emmanuel Atuahene (PRO of Bechem) on Akoma 87.9 FM.
