To become the eighth-ever Southern Zone Champions of the Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League, Hasaacas Ladies defeated Faith Ladies 3-0 on Sunday.
With a goal from Belinda Ofori in the second half and a double from Mukarama Abdulai, Hasaacas Ladies were able to easily defeat their opponents and win the Southern Zone title.
Mukarama Abdulai scored the first goal in the twelfth minute and added another in the following twenty-six.
Belinda Ofori scored an incredible goal at Carl Reindorff Park in Dansoman in the 59th minute to give the Sekondi Ladies the victory.
With 18 Premier League games played, 11 wins, 1 loss, and 6 draws, Hasaacas Ladies top the Southern Zone standings with 39 points, securing a rematch with Northern Zone champions and holders Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the play-off final.
The winner of the match will represent Ghana in the August WAFU Zone B CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers.
The Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League final will be played at the University of Ghana Stadium on Saturday, June 8, 2024.
