Award winning Ghanaian rapper cum media personality, Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro-Adjei known in showbiz as Trigmatic, has advised up and coming artistes to have a good rapport with the media.
According to the ‘Sika Nti” composer, most artistes have had their career buried due to bad relationship with the media.
Speaking on the topic “Artistes and Media relations” at the Rigworld Training Center Western Music Awards artistes and industry players seminar which was held yesterday in Takoradi, Trigmatic advised underground artistes to be cautious in dealing with the media because it can make and unmake their music career.
” It’s not all about having the contacts of few presenters and bloggers that can make you succeed as an artistes but have a good relationship with them”, he advises.
” Be mindful of your dealings with the media because this same people can make and unmake you as an artistes. Treat them with respect and you are good to go.
” I know some artistes who were very promising but currently have their career buried due to bad relationship with the media. Do not be late for an interview whenever there is one.
” Never in your life as an artistes throw insults and jabs on a media personnel for failing to grant an interview with you or publishing your works because you might need his/her services one-day”, he concluded.
