Hawkers at Apollo traffic have taken it upon themselves to repair the traffic light stand when ever it develops a fault.
These hawkers cherish their lives so much that, they contribute their quota to repair the traffic light stand.
The hawkers came to a notice that the assembly heads are incompetent, and do not want to take the necessary measures in fixing the traffic light stand.

Vehicle drivers will always want to show how good they are when it comes to driving at top speed, and the area where the traffic light stands at Apollo is their exhibition grounds, these drivers do not take any precautions neither do they take into consideration the fact that there are hawkers present, they end up colliding into the traffic light stand and these hawkers fall victim.
In an interview with one of the hawkers she said ”selling at the traffic is our only source of income, we are pleading with the assembly heads and the Government to come to our aid because we can not continue contributing the little money we earn here daily to fix the traffic light stand when ever it is damaged, our lives are at stake, and in as much as we are risking our lives to get little money to support our families and our children we need the authorities to help us and they should also deploy police men to direct the traffic when it is not working as the also go on to fix the traffic light stand”.
These were the words of a young woman who sells at the Apollo traffic,pleading with the Government and assembly heads to come to their aid.
