Ghanaian Football giants Accra Hearts Of Oak is officially 112 years old and the entire Hearts Of Oak family is geared up to celebrate this milestone in the club’s history.
The Accra based club is the oldest Ghana Premier League club having been established on November 11,1911.
The club is widely known for it’s popular slogan, “never say die until the bones are rotten” and it’s fans, players and affiliates are called Phobians.
Accra Hearts of Oak remains the only soccer club in West Africa to have won a Continental Treble, 1 of 6 Africa-based clubs and 1 of 21 clubs worldwide to have achieved this feat.
Continental club masters as they were once called made history with their most celebrated late Coach Sir Cecil Jones Attuquayefio after he led the club to win the CAF Champions League in 2000, CAF Super Cup in 2001, and the CAF Confederations Cup in 2004.
The club’s honours in total are;21x Ghana Premier League titles 12x FA Cup trophies, 1x CAF Champions League, 1x CAF Confederations Cup and 1x CAF Super Cup.
The Accra Sports Stadium is the club’s home grounds, where it plays its home games.
