Hearts of Oak head coach, Aboubakar Ouattara, has appealed to the club’s passionate fans to remain patient and continue supporting the team despite their recent disappointing form.
The Phobians suffered a setback in their eighth league match, losing 0-1 to league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars at the Legon Sports Stadium. This defeat has further compounded the team’s struggles this season.
Hearts of Oak’s five-game winning streak under Ouattara came to an end when Samuel Atta Kumi scored the game-winning goal after Hamza Issah missed a vital penalty. Issah’s missed penalty proved costly as Hearts of Oak failed to score despite controlling the game.
Ouattara acknowledged the fans’ frustration but urged them to maintain their support. He emphasized that the team is working hard to turn things around and regain their winning form.
“One goal we couldn’t score. Every match we expect to win three points, but today we lost all three at home. The supporters should continue supporting us because it is a process,” Ouattara said after the defeat.
Hearts of Oak will be looking to bounce back in their upcoming matches and regain their winning form.
