The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Henry Quartey has become the latest personality to offer support to legendary actor Psalm Adjeteyfio.
Mr. Adjeteyfio of the popular ‘Taxi Driver’ fame has been receiving lots of financial assistance after a video of him begging for Gh¢3,000 to pay his house rent went viral.[ads2]
It was the Vice President of the republic, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia who became the first to support a financial support of Gh¢50,000 to the actor with Gh¢30,000 as house rent and Gh¢20,000 for upkeep.
And the Greater Accra Regional Minister, who in a statement, stated that he was inspired by the movies of the veteran Ghanaian actor, has pledged to offer Psalm Adjeteyfio a monthly salary of Gh¢1,500 till January, 2025 when his tenure as the member of the eight parliament will come to an end.[ads3]
The statement from the office of the minister reads, “I am inspired by your positive impact on the movie and entertainment industry. I will support you with a monthly stipend of GHS1,500.00 from my parliamentary salary.
I have placed a standing order for the monthly transfers to your account effective September 2021 till the end of my tenure in the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic on 7th January 2025.”[ads5]
