Emmanuel Osei Kuffour has eulogized erstwhile Asante Kotoko Executive Chairman, Herbert Mensah for injecting some professionalism into the local game during his era some two decades ago.
Legendary Ghana Premier League attacker said, Mr. Herbert Mensah took Ghana Football to a different level.
Herbert Mensah, who’s now the President of the Ghana Rugby Association earned appointment as the Chairman of the Porcupine Warriors from 1999-2003.
Herbert Mensah’s 4 years tenure at Asante Kotoko improved the professional aspect of the Ghanaian football following the introduction of a long term vision that bordered on sponsorships, branding, marketing, financial transparency and others according to the former Hearts of Oak striker.

The era of the now Ghana Rugby Association President pushed Asante Kotoko on tours across Europe, participated in international competitions organised abroad and introduced wearing of proper kiting on and off the pitch an initiative that has become common practice in recent times.
Emmanuel Osei Kuffour told Revolt GH TV, where he eulogised Herbert Mensah for taking Ghana football to a different level.
Osei Kuffour, who’s currently USA-based reminisced how Herbert Mensah impacted the entire brand of Ghana football industry and not for only Asante Kotoko.

As part of Hearts of Oak’s unstoppable ‘Batallions’ Emmanuel Osei Kuffour had an unmatched career in the local scene and is often referred to as the best ever Ghana Premier League player.
Kuffour is a multiple premier league winner and was also on the winning side when Hearts of Oak conquered the 2000 CAF Champions League and 2004 CAF Confederation Cup.
