Peter Amewu has made history by winning the Hohoe parliamentary seat for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Hohoe has been one of the strongholds for the leading opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) who have showed dominance for the past 28 years.[ads2]
The Energy Minister defeated the NDC’s Margaret Kweku to win the seat for the NPP.[ads4]
Amewu annexed 26,952 votes as against Margaret Kweku’s 21,821 with 389 rejected ballots.[ads5]
