In keeping with his commitment to community and social duty, Hon. Abdul Majeed Dorkurgu, the National Democratic Congress Parliamentary candidate for the Effia Constituency, has given footballs, cartons of bottled water, and cash to the EKMA Metro schools for use in their basic school games.
The generous donation happened after the organizers urged the NDC candidate to assist them immediately. The candidate complied by giving the aforementioned items to support the current games.
Upon receiving the items, the organizers’ Regional Metro PE Coordinator, Mr. Ankama, expressed gratitude to Hon. Majeed Dorkurgu for his assistance, noting that he was the only person to respond to their request for support.
To enable the coaches and PE teachers at the various schools to grow and progress, the candidate promised to provide them with opportunities for growth and support.
The prospects and growth he pledged will significantly aid in developing skills that could benefit the constituency and Sekondi Takoradi overall.
The Basic School Games, which are a component of the GES annual games calendar, are currently being held at Effiekuma Police Park.
During this month of love, Hon. Abdul Majeed Dorkurgu has been taking on social responsibilities to aid the impoverished, disadvantaged, and destitute in his constituency. He did this by going door to door and surprising mothers and the elderly with Valentine’s Day gifts.
