Hon. Abdul Majeed Dorkurgu, the National Democratic Congress Parliamentary candidate for the Effia constituency, has given the EKMA District Football Association bags of water, soft drinks, and an undisclosed sum for the EKMA District Colts League at Effiekuma Police Park.
The gesture was made at the Astro Turf in Effia-Kuma Police Park today, March 30, 2024. He felt compelled to support the Municipal Football Association and the Club owners as part of his developmental plans and vision for the Constituency because they align with his goals and aspirations for the people.
When elected, he further pledged to support the growth of sports in general rather than just football and to build a new AstroTurf to aid in the development of more talent in the Effia Constituency.
In accepting the items on behalf of the association, Mr. Michael Quarshie, the chairman of the EKMA football committee, thanked Hon. Majeed Dorkurgu for his thoughtful gesture and pledged to support the development of players for the constituency.
