Youth and Sports Minister Hon. Isaac Asiamah has inspected the progress of the under construction multi-purpose Youth and Sports resource centre in Axim today January 10, 2019.
This forms part of the Minister’s inspection tour of the multi-purpose Youth and Sports resource centres projects across the country.
The Minister has already been to Koforidua and Ho project sites, where work is progressing steadily and should be completed within the 9 months stipulated time of completion.
However, Hon. Isaac Asiamah together with the CEO of the National Youth Authority, Mr. Emmanuel Asigri, the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Area, Mrs Catherine Afeku and a team inspected the progress of the construction works at the Axim Youth and Sports resource centre.
Speaking to the media after the inspection, Hon. Isaac Asiamah claimed the government has outlined plans to push the Ghanaian youths to higher heights especially in the area of sports in order to bring good name to the country in the outside world.
” We inspected the project today to see it progression and I must commend the constructor for an impressive job done so far.
“The NPP government has bunch of ideas to help push the youth to higher level especially in the area of sports to bring good name to our country, Ghana.
He however noted that the Akufo-Addo led government is keen on increasing local participation in order to create more jobs for the Ghanaian people and the Youth and Sports ministry won’t stop inspecting the various projects until completion.
” We as a government is focused on increasing local participation to create more jobs for Ghanaians and we won’t stop this inspection exercise until completion.
Also to add her voice was the Member of Parliament for the area , Hon. Catherine Afeku who pleaded to the residents of Axim to help in maintaining the project to see more of such projects in the constituency.
Hon. Isaac Asiamah will continue his inspection exercise in Dunkwa Offin (Central Region) and Nyinahin (Ashanti Region) to assess progress of the works at the various sites, Kyfilla.com understands.
