The Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Honorable Perry Okwudzato together with the Black Stars head coach, James Akwasi Appiah inspected the Accra Sports Stadium today.
The stadium is expected to host Black Stars last AFCON qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya on Saturday March 23, 2019 as well as the Black Mateors first qualifying game for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics against their age-mates from Gabon on the same day.
Mateors game against the Gabonesse have scheduled for the 3:00PM in afternoon whereas the Black Stars decider against Kenya is slated for 6:00PM in the evening.
The exercise, saw the team inspecting the washrooms, stands and the pitch among other facilities to ensure they are safe for the double header at the nation’s capital.
However, the National Sports Authority boss, Professor Patrick Twumasi, the Managing Director of the Green Grass Technology, Mr. Frank Boahene took part in the inspection exercise.
