Black Stars attacker Jordan Ayew,says he has been playing out of position for his club and the national team.
As the leader the Black Stars’ attack, the 32-year-old has scored four goals in two World Cup qualifying matches.
Ayew scored his second hat trick for the national team against Central African Republican in his 100th cap for Ghana.
Ayew discussed his positional struggles in a post-match interview, stating that his favourite position is the number 9 role but he has been playing out of position because of his versatility.
“I’ve been playing out of position for quite some time in the national team and also at the club level. But I have always done my duty, put my country first, and never complained because I always give my all.It’s difficult. It’s not something that I like to talk about, but obviously, my favorite position right from the academy, in France, and in the national team has always been as a number 9.” he explained.
Ayew has proven to be a valuable member of the team in both club and national settings, exhibiting professionalism in each game.
