Head Coach of Accra Hearts of Oak says he is not afraid of been sacked by the club.
After last weekend’s game against Legon Cities which they drew goal less Martin Koopman made remarks on the possibility of been sacked.
“Listen, I am not afraid to be sacked and that is the first thing. If I will be afraid to get sacked, then I will not be in this business.I was a professional footballer for many years and am now a football coach, but if you are afraid, you don’t venture into football coaching.he said.
“I believe in my qualities and I think I am the coach who can work with this team and you can ask the kind of person I am. So I am not afraid to get sacked, never. If they make a decision that is fine and I must respect that but I have a contract with the club and that is what I will say,” he added.
The Dutch Coach who was appointed as as the new technical head for the Phobians this season has come under a lot of pressure following a poor run of results by the team.
After 10 games into the 2023/24 Betpawa Ghana Premier League season, Hearts of Oak are 11th on the league table with 12 points after just 2 wins, 6 draws and 2 losses.
