Coach C.K Akonnor has cautioned supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko to desist from putting unnecessary pressure on the players ahead of Zesco United clash today.
According to the head of Asante Kotoko technical bench, the playing body have done extraordinary well prior to the group stages qualification and even though the supporters yarning for first victory in the group stages campaign, all pressure must be channel to him as the head coach.
” The players have done extraordinary well and I don’t want unnecessary pressure on them”, he told pressmen in an interview.
” They’ve done well and I know the supporters too want group stages first victory but it doesn’t mean they should put pressure on the players but it should be channel to me.
He however called on supporters to be at the stadium in their numbers on Wednesday as they face Zesco United in match two of the group stages.
Kotoko lost narrowly to Al Hilal in their group stage opener even though they dominated possession whereas Zesco United whipped arch rivals Nkana FC 2:0 at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium to reach top of the group.
