Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Dr. Randy Abbey has made it clear that he does not have any immediate plans to run for GFA Presidency.
Randy Abbey stated his stance emphatically, saying, “I don’t aspire to become Ghana Football Association president, neither today nor in the future.”
Abbey has a lengthy history in Ghana football administration and is the owner of Kpando Heart of Lions.
He held a number of positions during the tenure of former GFA president Kwesi Nyantakyi.
He also worked for as the Ghana Football Association’s communications director.
In the next GFA elections set for October 5, Dr. Abbey is currently running for re-election to the Executive Council.
He was chosen to serve on the Executive Council in 2019 and has contributed significantly to the accomplishments of Kurt Okraku’s administration, who might be contesting unopposed in the forthcoming GFA Presidential elections.
