Wutah Kobby, a well-known performer of dancehall, highlife, and afrobeat music, has declared that he no longer supports the New Patriotic Party.
He claims that musicians utilize their support of political parties to make money during election seasons, and they choose whether or not to do so because it may have an impact on their careers.
He clarified that he is willing to support any political party that contacts him, whether it be the NDC or the NPP, because his work as a musician gives him the income he needs to support his family.
In response to inquiries about it, he stated that while he was once connected to the NPP, their relationship is now only business-related. The Chochoo hitmaker said:
From a political party endorsement perspective, it is clear that this is just about the business side of music.
Which political party contacts me for endorsement does not matter because I work for a living, so I do not care which one it is.
It is completely unrelated to party affiliation, and although I was formerly affiliated with a political party, I currently do not belong to any political organizations.”
