Ghanaian shot-stopper, Richard Ofori has expressed disappointment for not been able to play for Ghana at the recent world cup.
He stated that it is a great honour on the part of every player who plays for the country at the highest international stage.He was left out of the Black Stars squad that played at the 2022 World Cup because of injury.

“Missing the Champions League and the World Cup was very challenging because every player’s dream is to play the biggest tournaments in the world.”
“I was very disappointed not to be there. But whenever we were in camp with the team I watched South African football and I always wanted to play in this league. I visited the Orlando Pirates training ground and I was impressed with the professionalism. I knew then I wanted to play for this club one day and now here I am.” He said this in an interview with sowetanlive.com
The Black Stars goalkeeper is now in Spain working out with Orlando Pirates ahead of the next season.
It is expected of him to improve his performance in the forthcoming season to secure a spot in his club’s first team.
