The Bankroller of New Edubiase Football Club, Abdul Salam Yakubu says he is ready to release all the players who don’t agree to his decision of not allowing the team to participate in the Normalization Committee Special competition.
According to the astute football administrator, he is not ready to finance his outfit to partake in the much talked about special competition and therefore won’t hesitate to release players who don’t agree to his decision.
“Am not ready to play the special cup. I’m meeting the players tomorrow and whoever doesn’t agree can go”, he told Nhyira FM.
Meanwhile, sixty-two (62) clubs both Premier League and the Division One have confirmed their participation excluding New Edubiase and Wa All Stars which is currently under new administration but yet to confirm their readiness.
The special competition, launched yesterday at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat in Accra is to fill the vacuum created by the halting of football activities in the country since June last year following the Anas expose which uncovered the rottenness in Ghana football.
The competition is solely for Premier League and Division One League clubs in the country with each club pocketing a sum of GHC 300,000 as participation fee.
