King Faisal head coach Ignatius Osei-Fosu is optimistic his outfit will not be relegated from this season’s Ghana Premier League.
The Kumasi-based club have dropped to the relegation zone after losing painfully to FC Samartex at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese in Kumasi last Sunday.
Two late goals ensured FC Samartex returned to Samreboi with the three maximum points at the expense of King Faisal who needed the points badly.
But Ignatius Osei-Fosu who was appointed the head coach of King Faisal Football Club last month, believes his outfit will do everything possible to escape relegation.
Ignatius Osei-Fosu took over the mantle from Godwin Ablordey in April 5, 2023 and has managed only two wins from eight matches losing four and drawing two.
With three matches to end the league season, King Faisal are languishing on the seventeenth position with 36 points out of the 31 matches played, winning 10, drawing 6 and losing 15 matches.
King Faisal will travel to Tarkwa to play league leaders Medeama SC at the Akoon Park on Sunday, May 28, 2023 before facing Berekum Chelsea and relegation-threatening side Great Olympics.
