The Inspector-General of Police, Mr James Oppong-Boanuh and an entourage has called on Agbogbomefia of Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV and his council of elders to thank them for their blessing and support for police work.
Mr. Oppong-Boanuh also used the occasion to appeal to the honourable Chiefs and Queen mothers to continue to advise the citizenry to channel their grievances through lawful channels.

Togbe Howusi Adzi Lake XII who deputised for Agbogbomefia commended police for their work and expressed confidence and trust in the police to maintain law and order before, during and after the upcoming elections.
He advised police officers to show no political feeling or empathy towards anybody in the discharge of work. “IGP, uneasy lies the head which wears the crown but we bless you and ask the gods of our land and the Lord Almighty to be your guide. We support you and wish you well”

“We will continue to advise our young men and women and our people to use the right channels to resolve disagreements and grievances”, he added.
Present at the meeting were members of the traditional area including Togbe Kwasi Afele, Togbe Kasa III, Togbe Anikpi III and Mamaga.
