Black Stars center back Jonathan Mensah says he is fit enough for Ghana’ round of 16 duel against Tunisia.
The Columbus Crew defender sustained an injury in Ghana’ 0:0 stalemate against Cameroon in the group stages.
The 28-year old subsequently missed Ghana’ last group F game against Guinea-Bissau where the four times AFCON champions won 2:0 at the Suez Stadium.
Speaking at presser today, Jonathan Mensah declared that he is fit enough to play for the West African side against Tunisia on Monday.
“I feel very good now. I’m getting better and better now. I leave it for the head coach and the medical team to decide but I’ve been communicating with the medical staff about how I feel but everything is fine,” Mensah said at the team’s pre-match press conference.
Meanwhile, Ghana will battle for a ticket to the quarterfinals as they face Tunisia on Monday, July 8, 2019 at the Ismailia Stadium at 7:00PM Ghana time.
