Kumasi Asante Kotoko talisman Songne Yacouba has revealed that he is not fully fit after suffering from food poisoning.
The Burkinabe international was permitted to fly to his hometown for his marriage ceremony but he over-stayed due to food poisoning.
He however arrived at the Kotoka International airport earlier today as reported by Kyfilla.com and would join the team for their Africa campaign.
In an interview with Kumasi based Light FM, Yacouba revealed that he is still not fit but would start light training next week before joining his teammates for their Africa campaign.
“I’m not fully fit for now and will start light training next week before i can join the team”, he said.
Kotoko are the only representative for Ghana in the 2018-19 CAF Inter-club competition and will be participating in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The team will play fellow Ghana Premier league side WAFA in a friendly on Sunday 18th November, 2018 before their CAF Confederation Cup prelims with the Cameroon FA Cup winners on 28th November,2018 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium before they travelled to Cameroon for the return leg.
