The Chairman of the GFA Normalization Committee, Dr. Kofi Amoah says he will never bounce back to manage football in Ghana when his term as the Committee Chairman comes to an end.
The well respected businessman, was appointed by the world’s football governing body, FIFA in conjunction with the Government of Ghana to lead a Committee, tasked to normalized football in the country after the Anas ‘Number 12 expose which uncovered the rottenness in Ghana and African football.
The Normalization Committee saw their first six months in office expired before FIFA could grant them an extension, hoping to capitalize on the enough time frame to bring football in the country to a normalcy.
The Committee, then introduced a NC Special Competition for both male and female clubs which is to fill the void created by the absence of league season in the country since last year after the Anas expose.
But according to Dr. Kofi Amoah, he has other business outside the country and so he needs time to take care of them and has stated not to make a return to football management in the country after the NC term in office expire in September 2019.
“I’m not interested in managing Ghana football after my mandate as NC Chairman “, Dr. Kofi Amoah said it on Metro TV.
He however hinted that, the President of the nation, H.E Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo is a ‘great football person’ and has great ambitions for sports in the country.
