Kumasi Asante Kotoko forward, Abdul Fatau Shafiu has disclosed his readiness to showcase his ability when given a Black Stars invitation.
An earlier reports sprang in the media that, Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah has included the attacker’s name in his squad for the 32nd edition of the Total African Cup of Nations which will be stage in Egypt.
Speaking to pressmen after a stellar performance against Berekum Chelsea in the week seven encounter of the NC Special Competition at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium yesterday, the in-form enforcer of Asante Kotoko believes, he’s ready for Black Stars challenge and will be excited to make it to the final squad for the AFCON.
“I’m ready for the Black Stars challenge but currently my concentration is on helping Asante Kotoko but I will be excited when given a call up” he said.
Meanwhile, Abdul Fatau Shafiu currently leads the NC Special Competition topscorers log with six goals after seven matches.
