Samuel Anim Addo, a member of the Ghana Football Association Executive Council (ExCo) has revealed that indiscipline among some Ghanaian players is the cause of them not able to reach their full potential in their football careers.
The Former Chairman of newly promoted Division one League side Okwahu United who doubles as the Manager of Ghanaian Football Legend Asamoah Gyan disclosed that a lot of talented players have been destroy because of indiscipline.
Speaking exclusively to www.kyfilla.com after the finals of the 2022/23 WRFA Division Two Super Middle League Final at the Gyandu Park where Rospak SC defeated Team Move 3-0 to seal qualification for the 2023/24 Access Bank Division One League, Samuel Annim Addo disclosed:
“Some young boys showed quality today, if only they will be disciple,.am repeating it if they will be disciple, they can go far , it is one problem destroying our youth footballers , I saw some good players today but I won’t even mention his name because the small hype on social media get stick to their head and their career begins to go backwards,

“I’m just hoping they will be disciple and I know we will get some good players from this competition playing for the various National teams in future.
“The competition was very successful, let take this opportunity to commend the WRFA leadership led by Simon Ehomah and his ExCo Members and all the officials including the Greater Accra RFA Mr Katai who also came in to support for putting up such a wonderful and successful Division Two Super Middle League at the Sekondi Gyandu Park..
“Anim Addo use the opportunity asked Ghana Premier League Clubs to take the new directives from the GFA to pay extra cash to GPL Clubs that will field some U.17 players in the upcoming BetPawa Premier League.
“I will say that the decision to pay extra cash to GPL Clubs for fielding some U.17 players in the league is the best ever Policy from the Ghana Football Association”
He recounted that most of Ghana’s players have come from the young system and I know with this policy it will go a lot way to help our national teams.
