Kumasi Asante Kotoko Director of Communications, Samuel Sarfo Duku (Esq) says it will be senseless on the part of the management of the Porcupine Warriors to part ways with head coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor.
A section of Asante Kotoko supporters and the media have started calling for the immediate sack of Akonnor following the exit of the club from the CAF Confederation Cup even though the team qualified for the group stages of the competition for the first time since 2008 under Bashir Hayford.
Sarfo Duku is the latest to add his voice concerning the wranglings over the future of the head coach at the club.
According to him, Management of the Kumasi based side have never decided to part ways with Akonnor and it will be unreasonable and senseless should Kotoko do away with the former Black Stars central midfielder.
” It will be unreasonable and in fact, senseless to sack CK Akonnor”, he pour out his emotions on Abusua FM.
Akonnor was appointed in October last year as the head coach for the Porcupines on a three year deal after the sudden resignation of Paa Kwesi Fabin and has only spent six months at the club.
