Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication team, Stephen Kingsley Bennieh (Esq) has advised prospective candidates who intend to contest for the flagbearership position of the party in 2024 to have a rethink.
According to lawyer Bennieh, should John Mahama decide to lead the party in the 2024 elections, it will be a ‘waste of time’ for anyone to contest the former president who led the party in the 2020 polls.[ads2]
He believes Mr. Mahama will have an overwhelming majority should he decide to challenge the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the presidential seat in 2024 hence a waste of time for anyone from the NDC to contest the former president at the primaries.[ads3]
“If Mahama decides to contest again in 2024, anybody who comes will be wasting their time; he’s not going to go unopposed but if you pick a form you will be worrying yourself…” he pointed out”, he said this while contributing to a penal discussion on Peace FM’s the Platform programme.[ads5]
